As an active member of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA), we are instantly informed of all new federal laws, rulings and regulations affecting benefit plans. SPBA is consulted by policy makers for advice and comments on proposed laws and regulations. SPBA members represent over 50% of the group insurance plans across the United States.

PBA is a member of the Task Group representing the TPA industry and Stop Loss industry. This group meets on a regular basis to discuss and brainstorm the issues relative to both segments of the self-insured industry. 

PBA is also a member of the Self Insurance Institute of America (SIIA), the Self Insurance Association of Illinois (SIAI), the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plan (IF) and the National Association of Employee Benefit Administrators (NAEBA).

SIIA is the only national association dedicated exclusively to protecting and promoting the self-insurance risk financing alternative for both group health plans and workers' compensation programs.

SIAI is the only association in Illinois organized to speak for the whole self-insurance industry. SIAI is an independent non-profit association focusing on Illinois issues.

NAEBA member firms are experts in self-funded plan design and administration. They lead the way in consumer directed healthcare, predictive modeling, wellness strategies and more. The result - helping employers large and small control the rising cost of employee health benefits.

PBA is also a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plan (IF). IF is the largest educational association serving the employee benefits and compensation industry.
